I made some funny photoshops

This off-season we've seen some Steelers go, and some stay. Mike Wallace wanted paid despite not putting forth any real effort this past season. So the Dolphins threw a bunch of money at him, hoping he can be the answer to their terrible offense. Good luck Miami, he's only going to play when he feels like it, and since he got paid that will be never again.

James Harrison didn't want to take a pay cut, and thought it would be best to go to another AFC North team. First he tried with the Ravens, and they didn't want him. The Bengals decided to take Harrison in and give him a home. That's just wrong going to a rival like that. Sorry it is, I hope for the worst for Harrison at this point. Don't really care what you've done for the Steelers that's in the past. You now play for a direct enemy. Suck it.

Now this isn't final yet, Hampton could still re-sign with the Steelers. I hope he does and retires a Steeler. He's been one of the best nose tackles ever. Plus, I'll miss saying Big Snack.

Key Players For Pittsburgh Not Top Fantasy Football Performers

Recently I was contacted by someone at Fan Duel for them to post an article on my site, I got to give them a topic to go on. One thing that is really frustrating as a Steelers fan is that they kind of have terrible fantasy players, I normally stay away from the team when drafting. I think the article below illustrates my point.

Despite the Pittsburgh Steelers having high hopes nearly every single season, they have not really had a go-to fantasy football individual player for a while. In 2013, things look to be no different. So when should a Steelers fan realistically target some of the team’s top talent?

The top wide receiver for the Steelers in 2013 figures to be Antonio Brown at this point. Usually, the top targets for a team are poised to have solid overall seasons. However, many experts have Brown outside the top 20 wide receiver options in the league. That means in most league formats, he will be perhaps the third best option on a daily fantasy sports team. Don’t be blinded by being a fan, because in the grand scheme of things, there are quite a few better options.

After Brown, there is a chance that no other Pittsburgh player goes within the first 100 picks of a draft. That might seem crazy to some, but with a lack of legitimate offensive stars, that is the reality at the moment. Emmanuel Sanders will be targeted at some point though, along with Ben Roethlisberger, shortly after those top picks. Roethlisberger is an especially intriguing case, because he is one of those guys that appears to be better in games than on paper. He will be somewhere between the 13th-15th quarterback taken, although many would rank him in the top 10 in the league. If you want Roethlisberger, make sure you do not reach for him simply due to name recognition. Let someone else make that mistake.

Finally, the running back position is still somewhat of a mess for the Steelers, so it is no surprise that Jonathan Dwyer is not even a top 40 option at that position. He could be one of those players taken late, or in smaller leagues he could be completely overlooked in the draft. Until the Steelers show more consistency running the ball, this will be the case.

Hines Ward is greater than you

Hines Ward, Super Bowl MVP, Dancing with the Stars Champion, Steelers all-time leading receiver,  tv zombie, and soon to be iron man.

Needless to say, Hines Ward is greater than you.

The ONLY two good things from Super Bowl XLVII

That's right only two good things came out of the most recent Super Bowl.

And they are:

1 - Ray Lewis is finally done playing football. I don't have to hear about his dumb ass anymore, yeah he was good and all. But his play wasn't all that great the for the past 8 years. Go away. Thanks.

2 - This is now two Super Bowl wins for the original Cleveland franchise. Had the city given in to Art Modell demands, they probably would have two Super Bowl victories to their woeful franchise. Cleveland Browns 2.0 has been a constant revolving door at like every thing and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Hahahahhahahahahahhahaaaahhahahahaha Take that Cleveland!!!

Go Steelers.

Too Little, Too Late: Steelers vs Browns Round 2 Recap

Plaxico Burress caught a touchdown pass in a meaningless game. Way to be Burress, try not to shot yourself in the leg.

Steelers 24

Browns 10

Well, someone picked the Browns to win...maybe hoping for a higher draft pick, and I was wrong. But really you know you were second guessing the game too! DON'T LIE!!!!!!!!!!!

The Steelers offense never really got going, I know Ben threw 3 TDs, but they never really got into a good rhythm at all. Took them like forever to get a first down, and even then the offense just seemed flat.

The Defense for the most part kept the 3rd string quarterback for the Browns out of the endzone. The defensive passing interference call was plain bullshit. Did you let that first sentence settle in? THE BROWNS 3RD STRING QB, FROM DUKE! WAS MAKING PLAYS AND MOVING THE BALL AGAINST THE STEELERS #1 DEFENSE. The hell? I have to say the best part was that the announcers kept talking like this kid is going to be a starter in the NFL someday, I mean maybe if he stays with the Browns, but that's it. He's the Browns 3rd stringer, so he's terrible. I guess he put on a decent show for next season, good luck!

So here's to an extremely disappointing 2012 season from the Steelers. Tons of talent on the offense, which seemingly couldn't move the ball, and a defense that took a little too long to gel and lost some games early. Oh and injuries, I believe about an average of 3 per game. I know every team deals with injuries and it's not an excuse, but I'd love for the Steelers offensive line NOT to have a different set of starters each week. Please. I mean for years the Steelers had an awesome offensive line and a shit QB, now it's the other way around.

Can't wait to see how the off-season plays out, who goes, who stays. It's always a good time.

Steely McGnome Predicts: Steelers vs Browns Round 2

I have no idea who the quarterback for the Browns will be this week. Little bitch boy McCoy or the old rookie ginger guy, weedman or something like that.

Although I really don't care, as much as I want the Steelers to win, they can tank the game for a better draft pick. Why not, the Colts tanked all of last season to get the number 1 pick. So the Steelers can take yet another game off and lose, not like they're going to the playoffs.

Steelers 10

Browns 23

OMG! I just picked another team over the Steelers, and the Browns no less!!!!

Why play like champs now, just take it easy so no one gets hurt for next season.

Done and Done: Steelers vs Bengals Round 2 Recap

That's it for the Steelers 2012 season. I know there is one game left against the Browns, but the season is over, no playoffs this year.

Steelers 10

Bengals 13

The Steelers had signs of greatness, then just looked like crap. Hard to believe with all the weapons on offense the Steelers struggled to put up points. Especially once the defense got their act together and went on damn near lockdown of teams. The offense really just stank up the joint. Not really sure how else to describe the Steelers offense this year other than crap.

And whatever they need to do this off-season to get back to championship form, they need to get it done.

Bengals didn't do shit today, but best of luck in the playoffs. You're not making it next year.
