What a way to Start - Week 1 Recap - Steelers vs Titans
Well, that kind of sucked in more ways than one. I mean three Steelers done for the season in one game. How great is that, Pouncey going out was probably the worst since DeCastro is the one that did it. I didn't even see Foote go out, that kind of sucks especially since the season he had last year.
Steelers 9
Titans 16
Someone had more confidence in the Steelers offense.
Terrible performance by that offense. Now I know Pouncey went out and he's the anchor of the offense and the announcers just could not let that go. But all of the lineman are starters in the NFL and they were constantly just standing around while Ben got drilled. Couldn't block for crap in the run game, would these other four guys even make the roster anywhere else?? Pathetic. Decent performance by the defense, can't expect them to throw a shutout every game, but if they hold teams to that many points I'm hoping the offense can do a lot better. There are still a lot of weapons on that team, get it together Pittsburgh or as far as I'm concerned the O-line coach and offensive coordinators better be collecting unemployment come January.
On to next week, one game at a time kids.

Injured - Steelers vs Titans Recap
That one hurt, and just not for the loss.
Steelers 23
Titans 26
Recaps are mainly my rant about the game, trust me you can get a better recap elsewhere. The injuries to the o-line really hurt the offense. After Gilbert went down, you really saw the shift from the Steelers O. They still produced for the most part in the air, but the ground game took two steps back with Mendenhall and Redman.
As for the Defense. Really. I mean really. You can't hold a lead for shit. And look, this will be a reoccurring theme when talking about the defense. I really wish LeBeau would have retired last year. He's been great, but the past few years, we've seen less and less of that greatness. Time for him to go as far as I'm concerned.

Take that!: Steelers vs Titans recap

The ass-kicking Steelers showed up yesterday.
Steelers 38 Titans 17
The defense dominated and the offense produced. I don't think there is anything more I could ask from the Steelers. Despite the injuries on both sides of the ball, the Steelers still dominated. I was impressed with the backups on defense, it makes me not as worried once the veterans retire or are cut (whichever comes first). Chris Johnson had one good run, then I think he went into the locker room, because I didn't see him the rest of the game.
Was happy to see the younger running backs trying to make a name for themselves by running the ball quite well. Was really hoping Dwyer was going to make that 76 yard run a touchdown, but he still had an impressive game. I thought Redman did a great job, there were a few times he broke tackles or was dragging the defensive players with him. Ben was awesome too, except for the fake spike thing get on the same page guys! Luckily that was before the half and the Titans didn't capitalize on that turnover.
Announcing
CBS number 2, Bryant Gumbel and Dan Dierdorf. Gumbel is fine with me, he doesn't really bug me. He's got a good voice, and doesn't seem to favor one team or the other. Dan Dierdorf on the other hand sucks.
I said this last week and it still holds true this week. Dierdorf blows. He was all over Hasselback's dick. Hasselback is 36 years old Dan, he's not going to do shit with that franchise, he's just there to fill the void until they think the guy they drafted this year is ready.
I really hope that they're not announcing next weeks game, and I know I could find out if I looked it up, but I'd rather be surprised. And then really pissed off.
