End of the Season Rant.

This picture best sums up Steelers fans after this season.

We really watched too many winnable games this season with terrible performances by the Steelers all around, not just bad play by one group. Defense, Offense and Special teams all had their terrible moments throughout the season and that carried over into the post-season.

While it is always disappointing that your team does not win the championship, the Steelers kept things interesting this season. After going through some rebuilding years (don't tell the fans that, it was all Tomlins fault they were not that good). The Steelers have made back to back postseason visits and came out with a win this season after suffering a wildcard exit last season. Despite all the injuries/inconsistent play in the secondary, the Steelers were poised to make a shot at Super Bowl L...er 50. Now we will have to suffer by hearing talk about Brady or Manning in the big game. I kind of want neither of those two teams to go.

For all the Steelers went through this season they are set to make a great run in the final years of Bens NFL career. Yeah it sucked suffering through those mediocre years while the front office rebuilt the offense and the let the aging defense go out on their own terms, but that happens. I mean look at the Browns, do you really want to rotate a head coach every two to three years?? I don't. Rebuilding is a part of football and it doesn't happen over night.

I for one enjoyed the season. Only because they made the playoffs, they don't get in and I have a different tone for everything Steelers.

On to next season, let us just hope they can keep the core people and add additions that will help this team to the Super Bowl next season. At this point, with THIS MUCH TALENT ON THE TEAM. Super Bowl is all I am going to expect next season.

Go Steelers!! End Rant.

Steely McGnome Predicts: AFC Divisional Round - Steelers vs Broncos Round 2

Not the biggest fan of Papa John's Pizza. It's ok. The sauce is a tad sweet for my tastes, but I won't turn down the pizza. I do love that garlic sauce though.

Wow. Last week that game was crazy. I gave up. I had a ton of beer and after that interception late. I walked away. I missed the stripped fumble by Shazier, but didn't miss the rest of the circus that followed. A crazy ending and it is yet another lesson in why you should never give up on an NFL game. Ever.

This week. I don't even know. With all the injuries to the Steelers, I am really stretching to pick the points.

Wildcard Playoffs - Steelers vs Bengals: Round 3

Sorry Ravens, you may have beaten the Steelers twice this year but you failed to keep them from the playoffs. Many thanks to the Bills taking care of the Jets or should we really thank Ryan Fitzpatrick for turning back into Ryan Fitzpatrick at the best possible time?

Shades of 2006. Steelers going into Cincy as the number 6 seed, a Peyton Manning led team waiting in the divisional round at the 1 seed. Where and the hell is Jake Plumber???

Steely McGnome Predicts: Steelers vs Browns Round 2

Ugh. Last week was terrible. Just when you think the Steelers are on a hot streak, they bring you back down to earth.

It's one thing to lose to the Ravens, it's another to lose to the backups when the Steelers are mostly healthy. Just killer.

Steelers need help to get into the playoffs. Not sure if that's going to happen or even if they will do well enough against another backup who the Steelers will probably make look like an all-pro. I'd like to see them in the playoffs, but who knows. That offense is dangerous, but the defense is suspect.

On the plus side the Browns have moved Manziel into another position with the franchise. He's the new mascot.
